Yes, but releasing code before it's somewhat polished just generates a
mountain of bug reports.

Back in 2010 when I set up a server at work I was eagerly awaiting the
RAID5 implementation that was just a couple of months away.

Don't worry it does appear to be coming, as a couple of months has
shortened over 2 years to be "end of this week" just before Christmas.


PS: This email is intended to be helpful, and while slightly snarky I am
very grateful for the work that has been done and I eagerly await the
RAID56 features.
