Perhaps "BTRFS Incremental Stream" or "Backup Incremental Stream" should
be considered, with the file extension ".bis".

The word "bis" is also, according to Wikipedia, "...a prefix of suffix
designating the second instance of a thing...", which seems largely
appropriate.
