Dear btrfs developers,
please excuse my seemingly non-sensical request at this time.. i in no
way have any knowledge about the inner workings of the windows
filesystem driver interface - but i think i do not have to explain why
it would be highly beneficial for a great number of people if a native
win32 device driver for this neat new filesystem would be made available
in the foreseeable future. Ext4 is still not even readable under any
Windows OS, which does pose a problem with many common use cases. Maybe
the current in-kernel btrfs code can be combined with some of the work
the Ext2Fsd project has done to leverage the advantage of having at
least some cross-platform accessibility for BTRFS as early on as
possible? Surely i'm not the only one who'd greatly appreciate such an
endeavor...
best regards,
marcel.
