Adorama Ambient 1° Analog Spot Meter.
The Model SP-1 and SP-II Spot meters are professional exposures meters which measure an extremely narrow angle of illumination. With 1 degree spot, the Spot meters read a perfect exposure, enabling you to measure the key areas of the subject you are photographing. The meter's viewfinder contains a small circular mark, allowing you to pinpoint the exact area where a light reading is desired. This is extremely valuable when metering unapproachable subjects or in situations where conventional light meter's tend to give inaccurate readings (i.e. when photographing subjects in bright sunlight on a beach or against a snowy background.) The Spot meter's use an ultra-sensitive Silicon Photo Diode (SPD) so that extremely low light exposure measurement may be made. he internal integrated circuits of the meters are very reliable and will give many years of trouble free service. The Adorama One Degree Spot Meter transports us into more advanced light metering. All-purpose exposure meters measure light over a relatively wide area. This delivers an acceptable reading if the illumination is uniform across the entire picture, but what if the subject is brighter or darker then the surrounding areas. If you can walk up to the subject it is not such a problem, but most of the time this is not the case. The Adorama One Degree Spot Meter allows you to read the light from your current position. The meter employs a Silicon Diode to read even in the most demanding low light level conditions. I |

Professional spot meter measures a 1 degree angle of illumination within the viewfinder. That way you can get an accurate exposure reading on the exact area where a light reading is required. It is especially necessary when measuring distant subjects, using the Zone System and where standard meters would give inaccurate exposure readings, such as high contrast or backlit scene |
