Don't overwrite kbd neither any input device , unless is a very odd
input device , definition of your keyboard layout is done like this: 
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-system-setup-keyboard.conf
Section "InputClass"
        Identifier      "system-setup-keyboard"
        MatchIsKeyboard "on"
        Option          "XkbModel"      "pc105"
        Option          "XkbLayout"     "pt"

I just ask in bug report .

No , problem is fixed more than one year , you just need update your
system , I bet .
