Thanks for telling me this... I'm gonna try it...
And I also got another problem while building xserver from git
It showed this error
 
checking for GL... configure: error:
Package requirement (glproto >= 1.4.9 gl > 7.1.0) were not met:
No package 'gl' found

what I could find is glproto. Where can I get gl?

I was building xserver by following http://www.x.org/wiki/ModularDevelopersGuide
While building app/bitmap, I got this error...
 
./configure: line 4003: syntax error near unexpected token 'BITMAP'
./configure: line 4003: 'XAW_CHECK_XPRINT_SUPPORT(BITMAP)'
 
But, I had built lib/libXaw. I have no idea to fix it...
Did I miss some steps of building???
 

probably this is a problem due to xprint. i had several issues with xprint so i'm now disabling it. if you build from git you shouldn't  have it enabled but you may never know. check in the configure options for the xprint option and ascertain that it is disabled.
