Intel batchbuffer

Hi,

I was wondering what the status of the intel-batchbuffer / DRI2 branch
is at the moment? It is fairly unstable with the git mesa, and Xorg, and
there appears to be a reasonable churn between it and the master branch.
Was the intention to update and merge it at some point, or was it just
an experiment?

I've taken a stab at merging the master branch with the batchbuffer
branch, but hit a huge number of conflicts.

Is this useful work to continue with? (is the branch still useful?)
Are there fixes on master, and not in batchbuffer, which might help its
stability?
