installation of xfree86

Hello everybody,

I have a very basic question with regards to installation of xfree86 on SL4.5 with X11 preinstalled. sh Xinstall.sh -check tells me that I should be installing Linux-ix86-glibc23

The installation manual says that I should not install it using X11 terminal, my question is ...what other shell/interface can I use for its installation? I am running KDE.
