using dell 2407 WFPb with xfree86 4,5

Dear Xfree

I am trying to use xfree86 v. 4,5 with a new
DELL 24 widescreen but get the message:

"Out of range signal.
Cannot display this video mode.
Change computer display mode to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 hz."

To change the computer display to this mode seems not to be an 
option with my present videocard.

Is there anyway i can configure xfree86 to overcome this?
