how to update an existing X installation with XIE?

Hi All,

I have a PC installed with XFree86 version 3.3.5. The installation does not 
include XIE (X Image Extension).

Currently, I am in need to update the existing X installation to include 
XIE.
And, I need to do it without deleting the existing X installation.
Is it possible to do it by modifiying XF86Config file or is there any other 
way to do it?

Rquest you help in this regard.
