xedit Xfree 4.6.0

hello

when i try to launch xedit i get the following

Error : Shell widget fileMenu haz a zero width and/or height

problem began when i've compiled and installed openmotif. before that 
everything worked just fine.
i've tried to remove openmotif libs but that didn't help.

i'm using XFree86 4.6.0 on FreeBSD 4.11 release i386
