I have an application
that is remotely launched on several computers using a command of the form xterm –e prog –j On redhat 8 - XFree86
4.2.0(165) this works fine I
have just installed Suse 9 Enterprise server XFree86
4.3.99.903(184) And
for the same command the xterm opens I see the
beginning of the command and
then the xterm closes – presumeably
before the command completes. If
I put the command in single quotes or escape the space ahead of the –j
then the command works correctly. I
need a script that can operate on either OS any idea what is happening? Or Why? Magic |
