XFree86-4.5.0 possible bug

There seems to be a problem with the xtest (/usr/X11R6/bin/xtest)file. It will not allow me to start a gui version of the Mandrake Control Center (MCC) However, if I replace xtest with my old Xfree86-4.3.0 xtest file, the MCC will startup.

I have attached two files which may help you:

1.) xtest-new-bug --- a copy/paste of my konsole screen showing the complaint 2.) xtest ----------- the old xfree86-4.3.0 version of the xtest file that works

The file "drakconf.real" is a perl script & MCC is a gui version of drakconf present on my Mandrake 9.2 linux distribution.

I am a retired printer who is darn glad he followed your installation instructions & made backups of my old XFree86 installation.

I suspect the old version of xtest was probably modified by Mandrake because it is quite a bit smaller than your new xtest file. --- Please let me know if it is ok to continue using the old xtest file or if you want me to send you more info.
