Hello,I am using the version of XFree 4.4.0 that came with my install of Mac OS 10.4.1. I am having trouble opening new windows from the X11 terminal. If I type "xclock", it takes about a minute or two before the clock window pops up. If I enter something like "emacs test-file &", the new window will never appear. Similarly, if I enter "more test-file &", I get no new window. However, if I check my processes with "ps", the requested processes are listed. The STAT field reads "S". I'm not sure what this means; all I know is that its different from the "Ss" in the STAT of the bash process itself. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
Again, I am running Mac OS 10.4.1 with XFree86 4.4.0 that was installed with the operating system.
