Does anybody know of this works? I would like to know if I can '
query the monitor for ddc info using ddcprobe or ddcmon.

There is a redhat problem report that says it doens't work with
a matrox board.

If anybody has a dual headded linux system ( ddcprobe is kudzu
so it might need to be redhat), can you run ddcprobe and
send me the results?

The current XFree86 mga driver doesn't do DDC on the second head. The
X.Org driver can do this and works as far as I know.

[root@server root]# ddcprobe

Videocard DDC probe results
Description: NVIDIA Corporation NV34 Board - p162-1nz
Memory (MB): 128

Monitor DDC probe results
Monitor DDC Probe failed.

Thanks for the info.

Does the /var/log/Xfree86.log report ddc data on the second head?

Perhaps it is an applicaion problem with ddcprobe.
