This would be why I wrote asking for input, you see. The idea is an
encyclopedia article, rather than "the media", so it does need to be
of a higher standard.

If you (or anyone) have pointers to reference material third parties
would find it hard to argue with, and that would stand up in a number
of years, it would help get your point across. Or, since it's
Wikipedia, you could edit it yourself. Wikipedia has a reputation as
"the encyclopedia Slashdot wrote", and that's probably not actually a
good thing; the cure is probably to widen the contributor intake.
