I'm the head developer of MirOS, an OpenBSD derived operating system
with similar goals (http://mirbsd.de/ for the curious), which currently
comes with X-Windowing system software based upon XFree86 4.4.0, but
with all the changes the OpenBSD team has applied, as well as some
minor updates, and of course diffs to make it build on MirOS.

I would like to ask if there is interest to have these diffs folded
back into XFree86-current, in order to reduce the difference when
XFree86 4.5 comes out.

If there is interest in general, I'll pick out the changes and send
them to the devel list, grouped by function (as for the OpenBSD
changes, Matthieu Herrb probably knows better what they do than I,
but I'll try).

Yes there is interest. You may submit your changes through Bugzilla at http://bugs.xfree86.org.

Thanks.

Marc.
