Hi;
FYI: there has been some discussion about XFree86 on the freebsd-x11
list. Most of us in FreeBSD (actually everyone I know of) are not
against the new XFree86 license but we need someone willing to spend the
time maintaining the port, and that hero has not yet stepped up yet.
In sum, our reason for not being in the list of platforms that support
XFree86 4.4.0 is not political..At least in FreeBSD's case, silence is
not a sign of rejection.. it's only a sign of ... silence ;)
