Basically, because this latest change has set some doubt in the mind of
contributors to the project about future such sudden change of
direction, and maybe do feel doubtfull about the meaningfullness of
giving their contribution to the XFreee86 project under such conditions.

It is clear that the intentions/belief/whatever of the XFree86 Project
on this matter doesn't fit anymore with the ideal of the rest of the
free software/open source/whatever community, which makes giving our
time and effort doubtfull in these conditions.

It is a problem of thrust and confidence, which was unilateraly broken
by the XFree86 project, without any good reason, at least no such reason
which was openly and frankly claimed.
