You know that's a funny comment.  I was over at the X.org site reading their mail haphazardly and one of the great comments came from Stu Anderson ala the XC, XF86 core, Metrolink and more recently netSweng and X.org, where he said, and sadly I paraphrase, That this would have the effect of us forking ourselves!

And why not?  Everyone else is doing it?  Why shouldn't we have some fun?  

Seems to me Sven you're advocating that everyone else either fork us or sue us and we should sit back and sigh....oh you funny man!
