That's a good spot to start bargaining.  Let's change "many years" to "last 
three months".  I know I don't qualify under that metric but I'm willing to 
work three months for a vote.

As I understand it, the David Dawes is the only board member still active in 
development.  David Dawes has the technical experience and his vision has got 
the project where it is today.  While he may seem grumpy from time to time on 
this list, that's probably understandable.  

For what it's worth, I'd vote for you Mr Dawes.
