Is this all there is to XFree86?

Howdy:

 I think that I have successfully installed 4.2.1.
I can 'startx' and I get a blank desktop with a
small clock and three (3) windows; 'login', 'xterm',
and 'xterm'.  There is no color. It is all monochrome
in shades of gray.  I can toggle (ctl-alt-'+') among
3 resolutions.

 Is this all there is?

How do I do a Graphic User Interface?

How do I run a Netscape browser?
