two cards

I had no idea I had a built-in video card (i-810) on the motherboard until
I tried to set up XFree86-4.2. I had installed the ATI Rage 2c and was
using it fine on Win2k.
On FreeBSD 4.6.2, I get the error message (WW) VGA: No matching Device
section for instance (BusID PCI:1:4:0) found

The /stan/sysinstall graphic configuration of XFree86 simply does not work
when both cards are installed.

I tried using only the i810 built-in card but that works only with 480
resolution which simply is not adequate for squat.
The agp.ko is correctly loaded and there is the correct agpgart in /dev.
However, I can find nothing on or about agpgart.o that seems to be required
to be able to use all the screen options.
I have also found that my present setup (with the two cards) is apparently
"dual head" which is also not supported (?). I don't even want it... :))

Does anyone understand what has to be done to make XFree86 work,
preferrably with the ATI card? But even the i810 will do?
thanks for any help.
Philip Jourdan
