Hello: I sent a message same title that I am having problems configuring XFree86.
I saw this on the newbie site -- do I need to have a nVidia kernel driver 1.0-2960.rh73smp.rpm installed to use nVidia GeForce 2 MX ?? I also have RHL 7.3 but my card is nVidia GeForce 2 MX and it freezes my system when I try to startx. Jim Leroy has nVidia Quadro4.
Jim Leroy said ... "I have a SuperMicro P4DC6+ dual Xeon CPU workstation with an nVidia Quadro4
750 AGP graphics adapter running Red Hat Linux 7.3 distribution (kernel 2.4.18-3smp, XFree86
version 4.2.0 [Red Hat Linux Release 4.2.0-8]) and the nVidia kernel driver 1.0-2960.rh73smp.rpm
Thanks - Michael
