Try the following code on your search page to display GET- and POST-variables submitted by your form:
[CODE]
<?php
print "<pre>";
print "POST:<br />";
print_r($_POST);
print "<hr />";
print "GET:<br />";
print_r($_GET);
print "</pre>";
[/CODE]

I couldn't locate an error in your previously posted code so let's give this one a try.
