way around for needing -fp option in inetd implementation | |

Yo list, I have solved my problem with spawning from inetd by adding -fp /usr/ share/fonts/X11/misc to the Xvnc command lines in inetd.conf. What is odd is that I don't get the 'could not open default font 'fixed'' with any other software or, if I start the server with 'vncserver :62' Now, I did add the -fp option to the vncserver script, so I understand why that's working. I don't have to have this option on in inetd on a different server I'm running, so ... That would indicate there is a way around having this option in inetd.conf. I do, in fact, have this same entry in xorg.conf: 'FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/X11/misc" ' It would seem that would be enough, but with the -fp <fontpath>, Xvnc would crash on startup. Does anyone know a way to make the inetd launch work without the font path in inetd.conf? Apologies if this is one of those 'simple' things. I did Google and RTFM, but I haven't solved this. Thanks.
