Sounds like the wrong tuner.  The bad X and Y co-ordinates will be easy to fix.  I saw the snoopy dump so it looks like the first problem we can resolve.

Subject: WinTV USB Model 566 PAL-I - New Problem.

Hi all,  with the help of Thierry I've managed to get this device sort of
working. There seems to be a problem with the tuner bit but Thierry is
helping me sort that. The problem is that I seem to have found a new
problem. When I select S-Video I get sound and a perfect picture but, when I
select composite I get sound and no picture. Now the card has one port which
it uses for both, in case that makes a difference, and an adapter to convert
the S-Video port into a phono. Any ideas please???
