Veiko, If this is the same card as mine (subsystem 0070:3401), then the tuner is "TCL MFPE05 2", which maps to tuner type=38 "Philips PAL/SECAM multi (FM1216ME MK3)". There is a patch to tveeprom.c in cvs to fix this, which I believe has only recently been submitted for inclusion in 2.6.13 linux kernel. I would suggest you install the latest v4l from cvs. glbevan Veiko Kukk wrote: > Hi! > > I recently bought this TV card and need to get it working under linux. > Pictures of the card are at the address: http://www.linux.ee/~veiko/hauppauge > > Currently using Gentoo with the latest 2.6.13-rc4 kernel and todays cvs version > of video4linux. > As can be seen on pictures, this card has Conexant cx23881-19 chip and LG > TAPE-S001D tuner. > > I chose card=1 (Hauppauge WinTV 34xxx models) from CARDLIST.cx88 and tuner=55 > (LG PAL (TAPE series)) from CARDLIST.tuner. > > 'modprobe cx88xx card=1 tuner=55' > 'modprobe cx8800' > > dmesg output: > > Linux video capture interface: v1.00 > cx2388x v4l2 driver version 0.0.5 loaded > ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [APC1] enabled at IRQ 16 > ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:01:08.0[A] -> Link [APC1] -> GSI 16 (level, high) -> > IRQ 21 > cx88[0]: subsystem: 0070:3401, board: Hauppauge WinTV 34xxx models > [card=1,insmod option] > TV tuner 55 at 0x1fe, Radio tuner -1 at 0x1fe > tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 34519, rev = J160, serial# = 2960922 > tveeprom: tuner = LG S001D MK3 (idx = 60, type = 4) > tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x74, v4l2 = 0x00400e17) > tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3425 (type = 15) > cx88[0]: registered IR remote control > cx88[0]/0: found at 0000:01:08.0, rev: 5, irq: 21, latency: 32, mmio: 0xe7000000 > tda9885/6/7: chip found @ 0x86 > cx88[0]/0: registered device video0 [v4l2] > cx88[0]/0: registered device vbi0 > cx88[0]/0: registered device radio0 > > Tried with kdetv, tvtime and xawtv with no luck at all.
