the IF part on most of the tuners is hardwired, only newer multinorm
tuners with the tda9885/6/7 need programming. Even them it can be
disabled when they are set to NTSC only. Now also the silicon
tda8275/8290 is there.

This is a discontinued SAW filter designed for intercarrier demodulation
use on NTSC-M/PAL-M like systems from www.epcos.de and only passive.

Instead of blinded it could also be shielded. This should be the
candidate, also for example on Marcelo's board with an radio capable
tuner it is not there. http://www.marcelotoledo.org/log
But L E O N (mjardeli) seems to have the same on his bttv Pixelview
PlayTV Mpeg2 bttv and you can compare in the bttv-gallery. This does not
look like a TEA5767 variant, they differ also from each other by pin
numbers.
The tea5767 still needs some additional external components around and
then looks more like a recent dvb demodulator or the philips silicon
tuner parts. You can see examples on the just mentioned Tevion Xpert and
MSI TV@nywhere Master by searching Gunther's collection for tea5767.
Also if you can see some of the pinning you most likely can exclude it
comparing with the datasheets. (nothing in *.inf?)
Good luck, guess you still need it.
