Can we get a show of hands, so to speak, on whether or not this would be a popular idea with willing contributors for content? I'd rather not set up the wiki and have it go unused...

Wiki! Wiki! Wiki!

I'll be happy to contribute everything I've learned. Talk about your low bandwidth...:)

I'll second that.

Will this wiki be only for developers or for users or both?

I also took the liberty of cc:ing the ivtv-devel list. Why? Well, I may be way off here but the way I see it, there are quite a lot in common for both these projects and I was wondering if it might be prudent to pool resources? I.e. sharing the wiki, documentation (where possible) and the revision system. The tuner, tveeprom, msp3400, tda9887 (and perhaps others?) modules are shared between ivtv and v4l. The unique modules should, at least in theory, have quite a lot in common as well (at least the ones with encoding capabilites), which could mean code-sharing and for future chips/modules could be based on a "standardised" skeleton-module. I am speaking hypothetically since I haven't compared any modules. Comments?

Best regards
