OT: Application pointer request: "pool-cam"

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

At work we've got a pool-table, and sometimes (I swear -- only sometimes :) someone pulls off a really nice shot.

What i'd like to have is a webcam recording to a buffer (disk, memory, whatever) and when i hit a key it stores the last X minutes buffered for later braggin or ridecule.

I've looked at google and freshmeat, but haven't found a program *just* right for this. Surely, someone must have hacked this before?

If no such program exists, where can i find the simplest possible example to start coding from?

I have lots of C/C++/python/Java experience, but no experience whatsoever on v4l.
