Me three. I've never gotten a reply to the three or four questions I've posted.

Another approach: if my newbie questions are not appropriate for this list, anyone know of another forum to post questions concerning v4l and tv card configuration issues?

I've looked in my V4L archive; all your questions were related to the PixelView. Should every listmember who does *not* have a PixelView, post that non-information? No.

Greetings,

True, my card is the PixelView, but some of the questions were more general. And no, I don't expect _every_ listmember to pipe up. It would have been pleasant if _one_ listmember had done so.

Look, I'm not trying to be ugly about this. I'm here because I want to get DVR working on my Linxu box. I have aspirations of building a home entertainment PC. At the moment, I can reboot into Windoze and do my recording but I *hate* having to do that. Besides, Windows XP has a nasty tendency to crash so I tend to miss what I'm recording. I tried to do my homework. I thought I was getting a card that was compatible with video4linux. If on my first post, someone had replied with "Dude, you're screwed," it would have saved me a lot of time.

I'm guessing that with the increasing popularity of DVR, the traffic on this list has increased with newbies like myself. And this is a list for software development. So let me repeat the question from my last post. Is there a forum for asking and dicussing questions about v4l and tv card configuration issues?
