Hi Steffen,
you get a first sample with "scantv -o .xawtv" from xawtv-3.92 to 3.94 I
think. If you select a Pal subnorm it is then set as default.
In case you have also other norms you set it the same way per station.

Know close to nothing about mythtv, but I can see it working with the
ATRPMS and saa7134 chips. Since it uses v4l1 by default you can't set
the Pal-subnorms from the app side.
People have been working around with "v4lctl setnorm" scripts.

Don't know if this can help in your case. At least the unmute saa7134
problem is obviously solved now.
