I sent a couple of post today.
It appears that first I had a mplayer rpm that didn't have v4l support.
I uninstalled those rpms and installed new rpms from
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html.
The error message went away but still had no video.
I also discovered that tvtime had quit working. Talking with someone in
an irc group with tvtime sugested that I reboot the machine. That
didn't help but powering down and removing power from the machine
allowed tvtime to work again, it has nice video and audio. My saa7130
is video only and sound comes through my sound card.
Now when I run mplayer, I get a black and white video that looks like it
is missing half or more of its raster lines and there is no sound.
Any ideas where I go from here?
