Hi,
it is gone since early May 2004, close after the 0.2.12 release Gerd
completed the move from tuner and tda9887 to v4l2.
Since then you can set even the Pal subnorms from user space apps, e.g.
specify one as global in .xawtv and different ones per station. That
should reduce the autoscan activity signifcantly, also automute, you
asked once for, is switchable.
The flaw that dqbuf errors caused by weak or disturbed signals end up
sooner or later in EIO hangs is fixed too.
Maybe interesting stuff in your fight with the fridge and the washing
machine. ;)
Cheers,
Hermann
