Problems with mt20xx & SAA7174HL

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

xawtv just gives me a screen full of pink noise and tvtime says no signal.
Windows works fine. I have to add options tuner type=33 to modprobe.conf to
get this far:

[root@living root]# cat /proc/driver/rivatv
nVidia Chip: GeForce FX 5200
Model: XFX Personal Cinema GeForce 5200 FX
Architecture: NV30 (NV32)
Access: Control [0xf8000000-0xf8ffffff]
                FB [0xf0000000-0xf7ffffff]
Interrupts: 0 out of 226 (DMA: 0, Overlay: 147, Missing: 79)
Device: available
VideoDecoder: Philips SAA7174HL
Tuner: MT20xx universal
AudioDecoder: unavailable
AudioProcessor: unavailable
IR chip: unavailable

And then we have
[root@living root]# xawtv -hwscan
This is xawtv-3.93, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.8.1-24mdk)
looking for available devices
port 61-61
    type : Xvideo, image scaler
    name : NV Video Overlay

port 62-93
    type : Xvideo, image scaler
    name : NV Video Blitter

ioctl:
VIDIOC_QUERYCAP(driver="";card="";bus_info="";version=0.0.0;capabilities=0x0
[]): Unknown error 515
/dev/v4l/video0: OK [ -device /dev/v4l/video0 ]
    type : v4l
    name : rivatv video
    flags: overlay capture tuner chromakey

But
[root@living rivatv-0.8.5]# xawtv -device /dev/video0
This is xawtv-3.93, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.8.1-24mdk)
ioctl:

ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=32;width=64;format=7): Invalid argument
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=32;width=64;format=15): Invalid argument
v4l: timeout (got SIGALRM), hardware/driver problems?

And in the messages we have
