WinFast Leadtek PVR2000 mpeg questions

Hello. 

I am wondering if this card, WinFast Leadtek PVR2000, mpeg2 encoder
will work with MythTV or a capture program.

I am using the cx8800 drivers and I get a picture in color (not via
the tuner but via the composite) I have a separate decoder with I plug
into the composite input.
The image quality  is good. (At least better than my 4 year old Hauppage card)

Some questions:

How do I know if the mpeg2 encoder works?
Do I have to use extra firmware to use it?
Is it possible to use the mpeg2 encoding in MythTV with this card?
Will the sound input work or will it be simpler if I use one of my
soundcards for input (I have two) I will not need the sound input from
the TV or Radio tuner.

I am not interested in the tuner since I have an external box (which I
will send IR signals to through an external IR sender when I switch
channels)

I do not have the lspci output from the card since I am not at home at
the moment but I will post this later. I use PAL as TV standard since
I live in europe.
