Hi Thorsten,
I just tried all of your proposed additions to "modprobe saa7134", 
but there was *no* difference at all..
*there is no sound yet!*

What do you mean with "saa7134 should appear in KMix"??
On my desktop KMix is a graphical screen with 'output' and 'input' 
tabs, both with multiple sliding knobs to regulate channels (line, 
mute, master mono, 3d control center, 3 d control depth, pcm, 
surround, center, lfe, microphone as center/lfe, iec958 playback ac97-
spsa, pc speaker, via dxs, via dxs, via dxs, via dxs...
*all* sliders are on top (maximal), all green lights are *on*
