if you have a version of cx88 new enough to include my patches for the
pvr-416 you should just be able to modprobe the module. You'll need
the patch cable to your sound card for now to have sound. That should
give you sound for TV. I wasn't able to get sound working yet for the
L/R RCA input jacks. Radio may need some tweaking to work properly as
well. I basically just plugged in the GPIO values from regspy. There
may be some other elements missing (setting tda9887 properly, make
sure the crystal A/D convertor is properly enabled, etc.), but I
haven't had time to dig into it too much lately.
