RE: MPEG2 Live encoding

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Eric,

Now for the complex stuff! Is it possible to have transcode pass the
the files to a fifo or a somethine similar and then have tcmplex remux
them 'as-you-go'?

I'm just floating ideas to see if recording to mpeg2 is a viable option
for PVR mode timeshifting (read view stream while recording).

Also, i note "--duration hh:mm:ss limit v4l recording to this duration
[off]" from the help pages..

I wonder is this could be edited to allow for local in seconds aswell as
hh:mm:ss?

and.. (from help pages also)
--pre_clip t[,l[,b[,r]]] select initial frame region by clipping
border [off]
--post_clip t[,l[,b[,r]]] select final frame region by clipping
border [off]

Would this be an appropriate place to try to grab wider than required
and clip the black?

And, could your provide some direction on fitlering the black to be
"really black" ;-)?

Mick
