No Prescribed Fires Planned this week on the Kaibab National Forest WILLIAMS, Ariz. – Kaibab National Forest fire specialists say there are no prescribed fires planned on the Williams and Tusayan Ranger Districts the week of October 24 through October 27.
Fire crews implemented the Government Prairie and Spring Valley projects last week about 16 miles northeast of Williams and are monitoring and patrolling these projects today. Light smoke may linger
in Spring Valley until stumps and logs are extinguished. Fire managers will continue to evaluate conditions for potential prescribed burning throughout the fall. For more information, please contact Punky Moore (928-635-5653) or the recorded Fire Information
