Pile Burning Southeast of
Williams
WILLIAMS, Ariz. – Fire
crews have approval from Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to
ignite slash piles on the Williams Ranger District today. Personnel will
evaluate conditions by igniting a test fire this morning on the piles near
J.D. Dam, approximately 12 miles southeast of Williams. If the test fire
is successful, crews will ignite 25 acres of piles. The National Weather
Service predicts light east winds today.
