Tentative prescribed fire plans
for Wednesday and Thursday
Flagstaff, AZ – Pending
favorable conditions, fire managers are planning prescribed fires on the
following projects Wednesday and Thursday, November 11 and 12.
All prescribed fire activity is
dependent on personnel availability, weather – including ventilation conditions,
and approval from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (www.azdeq.gov).
Wednesday, November 11
East Clear Creek Project
– 500 acres approximately 4 miles south of Blue Ridge Reservoir, 10 miles
(as the crow flies) southeast of Clint’s Well. Smoke will disperse
to the north and may briefly impact the Clear Creek Pines subdivision.
Thursday, November 12
East Clear Creek Project
– same as Wednesday. Crews will burn if they don’t complete the
project Wednesday.
A-1 Project – 70 acres
located north of I-40 off Forest Road 518, approximately 6 miles west of
Flagstaff, 4 miles SW of the Fort Valley subdivision. Smoke should
be light and will disperse to the north and northwest. Some light residual
smoke may be noticeable in the Fort Valley and Baderville areas overnight.
