Cannot run scanning software | |

Thank you very much for replying so promptly, Alan.
I checked the Canon site from which I downloaded the 2 scanner rpms, but it shows nothing more recent than the 2 rpms I downloaded. They're both dated March 2007.
I guess I'll have to settle for 2 out of 3 functions.

That message indicates the programs from Canon are out-of-date.
Earlier kernels would accept the error condition described by the log
message, but current ones do not.
