pl2303: what does error 1 means

Hi

I have a siemens datacable and a EF81 phone. I have also made some
changes to the pl2303 source code, so it reconizes my phone.
When I insert the datacable and phone it reconises it and it works but,
i get the following error:
probe of <usb  id> failed with error 1.

But everything works.
Can somebody tell me what error 1 means?
