Re: SCSI device access

I am doing the exact same thing.. But, I build the logical volumes at the initial configuration using all the devices. If I take a device off, and restart the box, it won't load the any of logical volumes (as it will be missing a device).. So, I was wondering if I could find out the device boundary, so that I can configure log volumes one device at a time. Even if a few devices are missing, the box should be able to work..

I think Logical Volumes will also accomplish this, as it stores metadata to
identify each drive on the disk itself.
