USB Enclosure for ATA Disk not working

HI,

I just purchase a USB 2.0 Hard Drive Enclosure which is not at all working with
Kernel 2.6.17. My USB ports have both 1.1 and 2.0. On both I get same error
messages.

Following are the error messages I get:

Should I take that the USB Hard Drive enclosure is bad or is it something to do
with the usb-storage driver ??
