I'm trying to install Tux on RHEL 4.1 AS with a kernel of 2.6.9. I'm very new here and was hoping to get some help in going about this. I've looked over the QuickStart-TUX.txt file from here: http://people.redhat.com/mingo/TUX-patches/ but noticed that it is rather outdated. It appears there are newer patches available than the ones mentioned in the QuickStart-TUX.txt file. I guess my first question is regarding applying the TUX patch to a vanilla kernel. It says to apply it to a 2.4.16 kernel while I'm running the 2.6.9 kernel. Would I be correct in assuming I need to use either the tux3-2.6.9-rc2-A5 or tux3-2.6.9-rc3-A6 patch? If so, does it matter which one to use here? Can I use an even later patch, such as tux3-2.6.12-rc1-A4? The next question is regarding the userspace utilities. I'm assuming I want to use the tux-3.2.21.tar.gz to correspond with the appropriate tux3 patch, yes? Any help provided would be very much appreciated and would be a sanity check for me before proceeding. Thank you, Jeff Blakeley
