>From the Surface Transportation Board, Washington, D.C.
-----------------------------***-----------------------------
The Surface Transportation Board's website will be down for previously
scheduled maintenance beginning Friday, April 8, 2011 at 6 p.m. In the
event that a lapse of appropriations causes a government shutdown, the
Board's website will be unavailable beyond the following message.
For the duration of the government
shutdown, all business operations of
the Surface Transportation board will
be suspended. The STB will not:
--Accept or process filings, by any
delivery method (mail, electronic
filing, or hand delivery);
--Receive general mail;
--Process cases;
--Issue decisions; or
--Accept recordations.
All deadlines that require the
submission of material to the STB
during the pendency of the shutdown
are tolled. If you believe you have
an emergency situation that requires
immediate Board action (e.g.,
emergency service orders), call
202-245-0245 and leave a message.
The STB website will be unavailable
for the duration of the government
shutdown.
