Hi,

I use a Promise SATA300 TX4302 "2-port external SATA & 2-port internal
SATA 3Gb/s PCI Adapter" in my Ultra 60.
You can't boot off it, and no raid for this card.
System runs a 2.6.34 kernel, have not tried anything newer here.
